Mud

Introduction:

Mud is a Fantasy Adventure game where you explore the ruins of an older civilization and learn of its history.

Troubleshooting:

If the Introduction Cutscene does not work, reloading the page should fix it.

Controls:

• WASD or Arrow Keys to Move
• S or Down Arrow to Squish
• Space to Jump and Play Text
• W or Up Arrow to Interact
• Escape to Pause Game

Gameplay:

Mud uses horizontal and vertical controls. The player has the ability to move along the ground and jump. They can also Squish on patches of Mud, which makes the player faster but slipper.  The player can also jump and squish onto patches of Mud on the ceiling. Mud does not have a combat system, instead, you must avoid and trick enemies. There are two enemy types, Flames and Flame Shooters.

• Flames: Flames start as fire particles slightly larger than normal fires, and fully spawn once the player enters their spawning distance. Once spawned, they will chase the Player until the Player is destroyed, or until the Player leaves the Flame's chasing radius. Flames can be tricked into running into Mud Walls to get rid of them.
• Flame Shooters: Flame Shooters are always active, and shoot fire projectiles in various directions when the Player enters their firing radius. Flame Shooters cannot be destroyed, so the only way to move past them is to avoid their projectiles.
